Little Black Dress Party: Friday @ Sunset?

More about the Little Black Dress Party (I meant to post info about this weeks ago.)
Wallflowers and geeks are especially welcome.
For those who don't know, a number of years ago some fun group on the playa organized a little black dress parade. It sounded like such fun, and we eagerly dressed up for it, and gathered up buddies, and strove to join in -- on time, on the right day, at the right place. The Burning Band played. Golly, it was such a riot!! Except that it wasn't really all that, um, climactic. At the culmination of the parade we all kind of stood there in our finery, guys and gals alike, and didn't really know what to do with ourselves. And yet for several years we convinced ourselves and our new campmates that this was not an event to miss. At some point thank god we realized that what was really really more interesting than the parade was having *our* camp together at a festive gala, everyone in some sort of little black dress. We made it our own, dressing each other up, trading jewelry, trying to stuff brawny guys into lacy little nothings. It has become a great haphazard ritual, and y'all shouldn't miss it. It's a cocktail party which segues into a potluck feast. And, this being Burning Man, do feel free to interpret "little black dress" as creatively (or as modestly, or as mainstreamishly) as you dare.
I be smart! I have figure out how to wiki (I think.) To the best of my knowledge, the traditional Group W cocktail party will begin at dawn on Friday, and continue until it is over or until it is time for the little black dress party. It may be a day and evening of seamless partying in the bar, interrupted only for costume-changing at black dress time. -Josie
